only a minor issue, but I never had such problems on other phones before. When charging the Mudita Kompakt, the charging time between the Lock screen and the battery information screen is always different. And by going back to the settings menu and return to battery information screen immediately, the remaining charging time changes again. I think this happens, because the software is comparing the charging current and the consumption current really often and by doing this, it adjusts the predicted charging time every second or so. From technical side of view this may be a correct behavior, but it is not the way the user can work with. To be more precise and smooth, the comparison of currents should not only look for the last seconds, but maybe for the last five minutes, so that a single illuminated on-screen event and the demand of some processing power will not destroy the forecast by many hours from one wink to another.
Second thing is, that the predicted charging time is really high even at 77 % SoC, although I set the charging limit to 80 % SoC. I tried again going down to 79 % SoC and then reconnected the charger. The phone tells about 34 minutes of charging time left, but charging finished after only 3 minutes as expected.
- Software: Mudita OS K 1.3.0
- Charger: 5 W (5 V, 1 A), results in “slow charge mode” message
- Charging limit: 80 % SoC
- The complete charging session from 2 to 80 % took 5h 6min with some on-screen time in between, or maybe a bit less as I missed the correct timestamp when charging has stopped.
