Is the keypad backlit, or just the display please? As someone with less than perfect eyesight, a backlit keyboard would definitely be something I would appreciate.

Joanna, I thought the buttons on the Pure are not backlit? Can you clarify? If they are backlit, can this be turned off permanently without it coming on again each time you power the phone off and on again?
