Hello. I really enjoy the Kompakt, but I’ve been wondering why there’s no auto-correct?
Predictive text works (though it isn’t very clever), but it’s frustrating to fat finger a key, then have to delete several letters to fix it.
Have the team considered adding an auto-correct? Or even a semi-auto-correct, where a correction for a misspelled word is suggested in the predictive text bar above the keyboard?
I feel these would be huge QOL improvements.

Hmm that’s odd? What OS version are you on? Are you using the native Mudita Kompakt keyboard or a sideloaded one? Additionally, what language are you typinging in?
Type “plaes” and see if it shows you “please” as an option. It won’t. It’s more problematic in Polish though (type “zolw” and don’t expect it to suggest “żółw”).
For that sole reason I went to FUTO kb.

Hi Urszula. I have that setting enabled, but it’s function is what I’ve been calling ‘predictive text’, not autocorrect — it won’t correct any spelling errors. The first photo you sent illustrates predictive text; it will predict which word you have started typing. However, if you make a mistake, e.g. type “hlelo” instead of “hello”, the keyboard will not suggest a correction — that’s what I mean by autocorrect. Does that make sense?

It is enabled. And “text correction” is not the right name for this feature. It’s description is what it does, suggests words.
Similar vibe issue like when you want to search through contacts but you can only search starting with the first contact name/surname letter, can’t begin with a piece (useful if someone’s name is prepended with company name or where-do-I-know-this-guy-from label).
