There is yet another issue with the phone app. Sometimes when you call a company, you will get automated replies and you have to press a digit to choose an option. For example, if I call my carrier and want info on my SIM card, I hear some intro text and then have to press “1”.
However, when I start the call on the Kompakt, I get a small menu with 4 options, one of which is “dialpad”. So I choose that, and the numbers appear. But while I’m listening to the intro text, the screen goes into lock mode, just when I need to press a button! When I move my finger towards the screen, it unlocks again, so I guess the proximity sensor kicks in, and then I can press a number key. But it’s so annoying to have the screen going into lock mode just when the dialpad should be available all the time. Can this be fixed please ?

Yes, it is an annoyance. Minor, but still an annoyance. Let’s fry those much bigger fish first.
