Are you guilty of Phubbing?

You know a behavior has become extremely prevalent in society when we have coined a specific word to describe it. PHUBBING literally means the habit of snubbing individuals in our presence in favor of our phones (Phone snubbing).
In our latest blog post, “Is your phone sabotaging your relationship” we discuss the idea of how the time we spend staring at the screen and not engaging with those around us affects our relationships.
Have you been phubbed before? Or are you the one doing the phubbing? Let us know in the comments below.

@urszula this has happened to me. I think it’s one of the rudest things a person can do to another person. It just tells them that they don’t matter, like whatever is on that screen is more important than the person in front of you.

The equivalent of phubbing without a cellphone is “bubbing” – snubbing someone by turning one’s attention to a book.

@kirkmahoneyphd I’m not sure which one is worse  I’m going to be more mindful about not doing either.
